God I got a mental image of me clawing at that cake. Good thing I'm not in the room with it.
And we had two cats when I was a kid, one of them hated the other one because she was ours first, and the other one just wanted to love on her but learned after one too many catfights that the only way he could love up to her was to wait until she was asleep and then snuggle up to her. Not by any chance the same thing going on in your family, is it? :)
Yeah, pretty much. Well actually Ruby is just not a cuddlie dog, she looks like one, but she isn't so if anyone (human or not) wants to get close to her, you have to wait until she is asleep. Nellie on the other hand, she will take some snuggles anytime you offer them!
