5 on Friday

A good ole Five on Friday...

1. We don't have any out of town plans for this weekend!  YAY!!!! I am looking forward to spending time with my little Fam-of-3.
2. I have been smocking again lately.  I am almost done with a bubble suit for Rory.  I will take pics when I am done of it on  her.
3. I have an order for 40 monogrammed napkins...this is going to take a while.
4. We are in the throes of 'Operation no-Pacie.'  I HATE taking it from her, I really wanted to let her drop it on her own, but alas...not happening.  At almost 2.5, it is time.  Plus, I am tired of telling her to take it out to talk.
5. Kevin and I got engaged 6 years ago today.  Wow...we will be married 5 years at the end of this month.  Hard to believe!

Long Time, No Blog

There has been a lot going on and honestly, I just haven't felt like blogging lately.  I will be back with normal occurances soon, but in the mean time, you will just have to deal with me dropping in and out from time to time.

How about a little "Five on Friday" action?

1. Rory and I are going to Decatur this weekend
2. We are going to the Austin vs Decatur game tonight.  Can I just say that I HATE that this is the 1st game of the season.  We always had Hunstville High for the first game and A-D game was always the last game of the regular season.  I don't know who decided to change it, but it STINKS!
3. Rory is carrying on conversations now, including fussing at us when she doesn't get her way. 
4. I have been doing a lot of sewing and embroidery lately.  If you need anything, or know of someone who does, you just let me know!
5. TGIF!

5 on Friday

Not a whole lot going on this week so I thought I would throw a "5 on Friday" out there.

1. Our babysitter has been out of town for 2 weeks.  Last week my MiL kept Rory and this week Tim has kept her.  Rory has really enjoyed the Grands, but WOW is she rotten now!
2. I am pretty sure that the surface of the sun is cooler than it is outside.
3. We joined Gymboree today.  I think we will try it for a month.  Rory really liked it last week so I am sure that it will become a regular thing for us.  It is good for her to be around other kiddos. 
4. We are SLAMMED at work.  I am SO glad that today is Friday.
5. I am TIRED!  I can't come up with a #5.  I will try to get some pics up this weekend!

TGIF!

Whew...what a week. I am sure glad that today is Friday. I am ready for the weekend! Mom and Tim are coming into town this weekend to visit. I am pretending like they are coming to see me, but in reality...it is Miss Bee that they are chomping at the bit to see. It is OK though, I will just lounge around here in delusion land. I hope that everyone has a great weekend and I will see you folks on Monday! Just for kicks...here is a 5 on Friday for ya!

1. Kevin is working late on Saturday. I hate it, Rory hates it, Nellie hates it, Ruby could care less. Since Kev isn't off on Sundays any longer, it makes what little time we have together even shorter since he sleeps in on Sunday, we go to church, grab a quick bite to eat and then he starts getting ready and leaves for work. YUCK
2. Rory has almost grown too long for the pack-n-play. Who gave her permission to grow bigger...it sure wasn't me! My tiny girl is getting big...good thing she is also getting even cuter or I might have to make her wear a brick on her head to attempt to slow her down.
3. I am really worried about a good friend of mine. REALLY worried...say a little prayer.
4. How is it that ALL the big bills come due in one month? Quarterly student loan, car insurance and 3 car tags--all in May, SO not fair!
5. Rory has decided that Rice cereal bites and she would just rather have baby food. She will eat oatmeal, but only if you trick her and put it on the back of the spoon and the baby food on the front. Smart cookie!

5 on Friday

I have been severely neglecting my Blog. I apologize! It has been a hard month with Father's Day, the anniversary of Nonie's death on the 21st and the upcoming anniversary (6/30) of my Dad's death. Please hold with me and don't get too discouraged. Here is a 5 on Friday just for good measure!

1. My Mom and Tim are coming in this weekend. We are going to pick up mine and Kevin's new chest of drawers and dresser so that we can begin refinishing my baby furniture (which is what Kevin and I were using until we found bedroom furniture that we like) for the Bee. Our new Loveseat should be in any day now, so things are beginning to come together!
2. Davis' (our nephew) 6th birthday party is this Saturday as well. He is a Yankee Doodle baby, well I guess now he is a Yankee Doodle BOY, not a baby...sorry Davis, my mistake!
3. I have developed an aversion to poultry. Seriously, I can't even smell chicken without gagging. It is really strange. I guess I should be happy, besides constant potty breaks, I have not had any other pregnancy related issues.
4. My lunch didn't sit well, I am feeling kinda puney. I really just want to take a nap.
5. Since we have been short a piece of furniture in the living room after getting rid of the blue couch, I set up the portable hammock in our living room. I have to say, it is an eyesore, but it is great to pile up in the hammock with my pillow and down blanket (and the dogs) and watch some TV. I am going to miss it when we have to go back to having a grown up living room. Nellie will miss it too I think. She waits for someone, ANYONE to get in the hammock so that she can too. Silly girl...but SO cute!

5 on Friday

1. I am officially done with this semester. I got an "A" in Systems Analysis and Design and a "B" in Quantitative Analysis.
2. Kevin and I are going to the FOP (Fraternal Order of Police) Christmas party tonite. Free steak, I'm game.
3. Our Christmas get together is this weekend. It will be a small celebration, but fun none the less.
4. Our office is pretty quite today. Thank goodness!
5. Kevin is off of work, because of various parties and then his usual Sunday/Monday offday, until Tuesday. I LOVE that boy!
