Blog Hopper Strikes Again.

Ok, I have been blog hopping and decided to participate in a little quiz on Tickle.com. Here is what my "true color" is:

  • Lauren, your true color is Green! You're green, the color of growth and vigor. Good-hearted and giving, you have a knack for finding and bringing out the best in people. Green is the most down-to-earth color in the spectrum — reliable and trustworthy. People know they can count on you to be around in times of need, since your concern for people is genuine and sincere. You take pride in being a good friend. For you, success is measured in terms of personal achievement and growth, not by status or position. Rare as emeralds, greens are wonderful, natural people. It truly is your color!

If you are feeling adventurious (or bored) hope on over yourself and TAKE THE QUIZ

Singles Awareness Day 2008

Hello all, Happy Valentines to all of you!

  • Kevin and I don't have plans for today, Kevin has to work.
  • Last night Kev surprised me and was at home when I got there. He had cooked us grilled chicken, lowcarb pasta and marinara (Dreamfields is the LC pasta...excellent, can't even tell it is lowcarb....trust me, I am Italian, I know my pasta), strawberries and grapes and a side salad. Then for dessert, we had chocolate chip cookies and milk. YUMMO!
  • I got the highly romantic gift of an electric toothbrush. Hey, don't knock it, there is not much that is more UNROMANTIC than stanky (yes, I said stanky) breath...am I right?
  • Today, I have a pretty little spherical crystal vase with yellow and purple tulips in it. It is so pretty and very "Lauren" if you know what I mean.
  • Tonight, I am finishing up Kevin's VDay present and he can have it when he gets home. It is nothing spectacular, just a little home made token of my love.
  • Today, my Mom is having a little bit of trouble getting through the day. I am proud of her, she is a trooper. I know that it is hard to live through their wedding anniversary without my Dad, but doubly hard that today is also Valentines Day. I feel so horrible for her.
  • I'll try to post a picture of my flowers that I took with my camera phone later on today. Be patient!

ps...why is spell check not working, Lord knows I am a horrible speller!

5 on Tuesday

  1. I am SOOOO TIRED!
  2. Took 3 tests and wrote 1 paper last week. Made: 98, 89, 86, 84...Not bad!
  3. Have at least 3 tests every week until the end of the semester...IN MAY! Uhhh, yeah, going to be a long semester
  4. My Mom is coming down this weekend and we are going to Sips N Strokes on Friday night. We are doing a painting called the Blue Door. I am SO excited, it is pretty...we will see how mine turns out! I will post a picture after I do it.
  5. Kevin is working on Valentines Day so, no romantical evening for us, but that is OK. I am not really looking forward to "Singles Awareness Day" this year anyway for reasons previously disclosed.
Well, that is my 5 on Tuesday. SO glad that tomorrow is Hump Day! Man, this has been a LONG week!

Pictures...Lots of them!

OK, so I have been MAJORLY neglecting the blog...sorry! I somehow managed to screw up my computer and had to do a system restore and restore all of my programs, including my photo software..so anyway...there is my excuse! Ok, well get ready...here is my catch up post.

  • PIZZA:
    • Kev and I will go to the deli section of Publix about once a month and get their pizza dough and then go to the deli and get fresh pepperoni (amazing the taste difference) and then we will make a pizza...It is SOOO good, and a great treat. It is also something fun that we do together. We really enjoy cooking together..especially non-healthy foods. Anyway, here is the one we did in January. It was SUPER yummy!
  • KEV'S BIRTHDAY PARTY:
    • Last weekend (2/5) we had Kevin's family over for his birthday. We had SO much fun! The first picture is of Brock, Kevin has his Proton Pack from his days in the 80s as the 5th Ghostbuster, and he put it on Brock since he couldn't play Wii. Brock had a BLAST! Isn't he a cutie? A Boy after Kevin's heart. Such a sweetie pie!
    • We introduced Davis to the Wii. Needless to say, we ALL took turns playing the games with him. It was really a lot of fun! I really enjoy seeing Kevin playing with the Boys. He will be such a GREAT Daddy one day
  • SARAH GRACE AND VICTORIA'S BIRTHDAY
    • OK, so technically, their Birthday isn't until the 19th, but since they are having their party tomorrow (2-9), a co-ed Dance party by the way, and Sarah Grace has a dance competition the next 2 weekends (2-16, 2-23), last weekend (2-2) was the only feasible weekend for us to celebrate.
    • Sips n Strokes had a painting scheduled for that Saturday called "Funky Girl" and it was kind of trendy cute so I decided that they might like to paint it. So, off we went, and they did really well. It was completely free hand, the outline wasn't drawn out for them or anything.
    • I hadn't told them what we were doing, just that they needed to wear old clothes and be ready for a good time. Like I said earlier, they did really well, considering that the Saturday paintings are supposed to be the most difficult, they did exceptionally well. You be the judge.
